When you come in for your consultation ask us about our recycled decorative cabinet hardware, our GreenGuard and LEED certified tile, our FSC certified cabinetry, or our recycled countertops.

• Recycled Decorative Cabinet Hardware: Makore is proud to supply some cabinet hardware that contributes toward satisfying credit 4.1/4.2 recycled content for LEED certification. This means that specific hardware supplied to us through our manufacturers contains a minimum of 93% recycled content and is certified through the Scientific Certification Systems.

• GreenGuard and LEED Certified Tile: We carry multiple manufacturers that can supply us with GreenGuard and LEED certified tiles. These companies have been certified and can produce their certification upon request. Makore is glad to support these practices and would be happy to introduce you to these products located throughout our showroom.

• Certified Cabinetry: Makore Kitchens and Fine Renovations distributes a manufacturer of sustainable cabinetry. This company is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, is part of the Canada Green Building Council, and also certified by the Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP). We at Makore are trying to support sustainable design as much as possible. Please ask us about the certified cabinet products that we carry.

• Eco-friendly Countertops: Makore carries an entire collection of recycled quartz countertops. These recycled countertops are even better than granite for many reasons including a longer lifecycle than granite, less water and detergents are necessary for upkeep, there is less material waste during the fabrication and manufacturing process, and it requires no sealing or coatings. Please ask us for more details if you are interested in the purchase of these countertops.
